Nightmare is unlocked after completing the game on any difficulty. You should now have your Platinum, congrats! Missed out on a PDA or another collectible? Maybe you missed out on a miscellaneous trophy? Well now is the time to replay the game until you get all the trophies you are missing. This will then finish the DOOM I and II parts of the trophy list, you should now have your Platinum. The final thing you then want to do is get 100% in one level on both of the games.

On DOOM II you have to do pretty much the same thing but you don't have to complete the 2nd part on a specific difficulty, you can do it on "Too young to die" if you want. The trophies here aren't difficult, you have to complete DOOM on Ultra-Violence for the rampage trophy but that is easily manageable and it's not the hardest difficulty. This can be annoying but as they are classics it's what you expect them to look like. These are the original games, and are presented in their original 4:3 Aspect Ratios. The final step is to complete DOOM I and II. Just remember to save after every room you clear, it is very tedious but it will save you from un-necessarily having to redo large parts of the game. The final step is completing both the campaigns on Nightmare difficulty, this is the same as DOOM 3 in terms of difficulty but as they are both short it shouldn't take very long. The next part of this step is getting the miscellaneous trophies, there are only a couple of them and you might get them without even trying. The Lost Mission, however, is very short and takes roughly an hour to complete it and get all of the PDAs. Resurrection of Evil is the longest of the two and takes about 2-3hrs to complete depending on if you rush through it but as you'll be collecting the PDAs as you go, it will most likely take you at least that long. These are Resurrection of Evil and Lost Mission. Now that you have completed Doom 3 you will want to move onto the additional add on campaigns for the game. Step 3: Complete both the Lost Mission and Resurrection of Evil Add-ons on Recruit, collect all the PDAs and then do your Nightmare playthrough. I recommend saving at the start of each level, that way if you miss one you can easily reload then continue playing from there. These are the most tedious trophies because if you miss one, you have to replay the whole game again as you can't backtrack most of the time. There is 64 PDAs, 17 video logs (Only 15 can be picked up) and 32 storage lockers (not counting Martian lockers or other weapon rooms). You can do this in your first step if you want to. The next step is to get all of the PDAs, all the video logs and open all of the lockers. Step 2: Complete the DOOM 3 campaign on Nightmare, collect all PDAs, Video Logs and open all Storage Lockers

This step is just if you want to enjoy the game and not worry too much about the trophies just yet. Even when you play on Nightmare, you might even beat that time. I was able to beat the game and record trophy videos for the PDA locations etc and my final time was 9hrs 20mins. If you're confident enough you can get all the collectibles in this step. Step 1: Complete the DOOM 3 campaign on Recruit, aim to complete it in 10hrs for the Speed Run trophy. If done right the explosion will boost you to the upper level. You want to throw grenades at this curved surface and keep trying to move up the ladder. Climb as high up the ladder as you can and look slightly to the left at the reactor. There is no way to avoid this and it is completely random if it will occur. When you're in the Reactor Room you have to climb up a ladder, in rare cases this ladder will not let you reach the higher area (like there is an invisible wall above the ladder). If you don't have this conversation with him then the elevators will not open and you must do this before turning on the reactor, because if you go back and talk to him afterwards it still won't work. When you turn the power on, BEFORE going and turning on the reactor, you have to head to the right in the Command Centre like room (where you turned on the power) and have a video conference with Sarge. Just make sure you make a fresh save when starting the Delta Labs area and if it glitches, reload: Here is a way of avoiding it thanks to Subterfuge but be aware this doesn't always work. In the Delta Labs you area tasked with turning on the power and the reactor, the power activates the elevator which can become glitched.
